Puerto Plata.- Adompretur Puerto Plata has endorsed the government’s efforts to restore and redevelop Sosúa Beach, highlighting the project’s importance in preserving natural resources, boosting tourism, and fostering sustainable development for local communities and visitors.
The initiative involves a collaborative effort between key institutions, including the Ministry of Environment, SENPA, MITUR, the Dominican Navy, POLITUR, and Sosúa’s Mayor’s Office.
Antonio Almonte, Secretary General of Adompretur Puerto Plata, emphasized the project’s potential to ensure proper use of the beach, create safe and family-friendly environments, and strengthen the local economy. He urged local authorities to maintain order and ensure compliance with conservation measures, while encouraging the community to support and protect the revitalized spaces.
The organization reaffirmed its commitment to monitoring the project’s implementation, ensuring it aligns with principles of conservation and sustainable development. Adompretur also expressed its readiness to collaborate further, aiming to transform Sosúa Beach into a renewed and welcoming destination for families and tourists alike.
