Santo Domingo.- Grupo Martinón has officially launched Hyatt Centric Santo Domingo, marking the first Hyatt Centric hotel in the Caribbean and the fifteenth Hyatt property in the Dominican Republic. Situated in the Piantini area, the new hotel features 130 rooms and suites, catering to both business and leisure travelers eager to explore Santo Domingo.
General Manager Luis Emilio Gómez GarcÃa emphasized the hotel’s prime location, stating it provides modern travelers with easy access to the city’s cultural landmarks and attractions. The hotel showcases contemporary design inspired by Dominican artist Thimo Pimentel, featuring ceramic art installations in a terracotta red, black, and white palette, along with colorful wooden sculptures by local artist Patricio Correa, celebrating the region’s vibrant culture.
Guests will enjoy sophisticated accommodations with multifunctional amenities, alongside a rooftop pool and a 24/7 fitness center. Dining options include Aon Food & Mood, which offers a fusion of island and international cuisines, the Lobby Bar with a pleasant atmosphere, Rooftop Burble Bar for scenic views, and Café Caobana for Italian-style pastries. Additionally, Hyatt Centric Santo Domingo provides over 12,000 square feet of versatile event space, accommodating up to 200 guests, with an 11th-floor terrace ideal for outdoor weddings and receptions.
