Santo Domingo.- Grupo De Valle has announced plans to construct four new Super 8 by Wyndham hotels in the municipalities of Río San Juan, Cabrera, Cotuí, and La Vega. This major expansion project represents an investment of over US$25 million and is set to bolster the country’s tourism industry.

The new hotels, each featuring between 70 and 100 rooms, will cater to a variety of travelers, including families, business groups, and couples. In addition to standard rooms, the hotels will offer two-bedroom suites. All properties will be equipped with modern amenities such as restaurants, bars, and electric vehicle charging stations.

“These new hotels will significantly boost tourism in these municipalities,” said Edward De Valle II, CEO of Grupo De Valle. “We are excited to bring the Super 8 brand to new destinations and provide travelers with comfortable and affordable accommodations.”

The construction of the four new hotels is a result of a strategic partnership between Grupo De Valle, Mr. Homes, Constructora Hotelera Provalle, and OPHDOM, one of the leading hotel management companies in the Dominican Republic.

Henry Veloz, president of Constructora Hotelera Provalle, emphasized the commitment to quality and innovation in the construction of these properties. “We are proud to be building these state-of-the-art hotels that will enhance the guest experience and contribute to the economic development of the communities they serve,” said Veloz.

The new Super 8 hotels are expected to create over 600 direct and indirect jobs during the construction phase and will further stimulate local economies.

Gabriel Salom Ferrer, president of OPHDOM, expressed enthusiasm about adding these properties to the company’s portfolio. “We are confident that these hotels will be a great success and will attract both domestic and international travelers,” said Salom Ferrer.

The hotels are scheduled to open in the summer of 2026. To show appreciation for essential workers, all Super 8 properties in the Dominican Republic will offer a 15% discount year-round to teachers, nurses, doctors, police officers, and military personnel.

This expansion aligns with Grupo De Valle’s “Visión2030” plan, which aims to build a hotel within a 30-minute radius of every major city in the Dominican Republic. With this latest development, the company is well on its way to achieving this ambitious goal.
