Miami.- The Dominican Port Authority (Apordom) reinforced its position in the international cruise industry by participating in Seatrade Cruise Global 2025, held at the Miami Convention Center. Led by Executive Director Jean Luis Rodríguez, the Dominican delegation held key meetings focused on innovation, sustainability, and strengthening port infrastructure to support the nation’s growing cruise sector.

Apordom engaged in strategic discussions with global industry leaders, including direct talks with Carnival Corporation executives, showcasing the Dominican Republic’s rising profile as a Caribbean cruise destination. The delegation also met with officials from Valparaíso, Chile, who expressed interest in the Dominican model for port development and cruise tourism. Additionally, Apordom explored sustainable energy solutions with Powercon to support its goal of transforming local ports into eco-friendly “Green Ports.”

This marks Apordom’s fifth participation at Seatrade Cruise Global and its fourth with an independent stand. The event gathered over 900 exhibitors from 127 countries and approximately 11,000 professionals to discuss the future of cruising.
